This track kicks off with a funky groove, holding the expected bouncing beats and background elements. Funky guitar licks, and off into a strangely familiar vocal. This is a groover of mid-set quality, it has been produced well and will keep all fans of funky beats satisfied, not necessarily anything new, but certainly not to be missed.

On the Run – Diverted Remix

Diverted have managed to darken the tones and bring out an edgier dynamic to this track, less funky and a hook that feels familiar and trustworthy. The track itself doesn’t hold any massive tension builders or releases, but remains solid and constant, the entirety of the track is tension building in itself, which is always a necessity for most DJ sets.

Overall, this release is well balanced between light and dark, depending on which version you play, both tracks are strong enough to hold their own and I will certainly be playing them in my own sets.
