Our series of interviews starts with Sergey Kabakov known as Kid Digital or Spaz. Sergey’s debut album “Three Ghosts In A Subway”, released in 2006 became a bestseller, gathered many positive reviews and was called in media as “best Russian breakbeat album”.

Today’s interview with legendary DJ/producer Illian Walker better known as ILS. He has been engaged in music for more than 15 years. His early creations were drum-n-bass in style, but he has found himself in breakbeat. In his arsenal are 4 successful albums Idiots Behind the Wheel (1997), Soul Trader (2002), Bohemia (2005), Paranoid Prophets (2007), a lot of singles and acclaimed remixes. I would describe his style of breakbeat as biting, melancholic and often with fine vocalism.
