Epidemic has been bringing you music for 3 years now, and now we’re arriving on its 9th release. Bringing artists such as Dopamine, Influenza, Projectiles, Transformer Man, and many more, we’re introducing two new members to the Epidemic team, Rektchordz, and the one like Ben#Key.

EPD009 brings the original tune by Rektchordz, SMUT; a big time electro breaks sound and heavy duty attitude. It also boasts MC vocal cuts by the legendary Profit.

The Ben#Key remix takes the electro breaks vibe, and moves it right along in to the hugely popular electro house revolution. It is bouncy, blippy, and bleepy enough for even the snobbiest of electro elitists.

The Influenza remix does the exact opposite. The Canadian boys take this tune to the trenches, and rough it up. Heavy, Dark, and Deep, just as the top Canadian producers do best.

Growing up DJing through many different styles of music, at 21 Jamie has a lot more knowledge about the industry than you would think. Jamie quickly learnt the basics to launch himself into the world of production. A big step came when Jay discovered breaks a new love for him to throw all his enthusiasm at.

Influenza is the Canadian breakbeat production duo of Jeff Malcolm (aka Psidream) and Jason Craig. Releasing a consistent output of mixes for public consumption, their DJ sets often explore the latest and greatest tracks by producers from around the globe, but also carry a lot of their own flavour and production work.

Since Influenza’s inception 5 years ago, they have been included on approximately 17 vinyl releases, and their catalogue is consistently growing! This is a true testament to the level of dedication they have put into their music. If you crank up the BPM a few notches, you will find Psidream’s catalogue of drum & bass releases has been building regularly over the years.
