Duane Barry - Searching The Stars OUT NOW! 14 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 1

Hey everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that after months and months of planning, my label's first release is out today! Digital Sensation UK is a place for progressive breaks and futuristic electronia. Our debut release is an original by Duane Barry, with stunning remixes from The Emissary and Phrakture.

About the release:

ORIGINAL MIX:

Our debut release comes from label founder Duane Barry. Duane has been actively producing on the breaks scene for almost 2 years now and is prolific in both his original and remix work. With support from someof the finest in the progressive scene, his music is a wonderful mix of deep progressive breaks with slight trance influences, sprinkled with 90’s dance elements. This release is an atmospheric progressive breaks track withswirling celestial soundscapes and layer upon layer of warm, sci-fi synths. With is full climactic structure, it will provide a beautiful ending when closing a set!

THE EMISSARY REMIX:

Texan producer The Emissary needs no introduction to those on the progressive scene. Having remixed the finest our genre
has to offer, we present his deep, progressive breaks interpretation. Taking the atmospheric synths of the original, he builds on the textures and emotion with haunting, sweeping soundscapes and deep bass, accompanied by a beautiful piano melody. The track enjoys a thumping 4/4 intersection between breaks before returning back to the very depths of the universe. A great intro track for every progressive setlist!

PHRAKTURE REMIX:

After celebrating the release of his full-length debut artist album earlier this summer, Canadian producer Phrakture provides us with his take on the track. Speeding things up a bit, he delivers a rushing journey through the cosmos with his trademark glitchy synths and breaks, and an exciting deep, warm and fuzzy bassline. The track builds towards a wonderful contrasting major/minor chord crescendo before leading out in an engaging exit. This track would be perfect to drop in the middle of a set to excite any listener!

You can purchase this release right now exclusively from Beatport :

SOUNDCLOUD PREVIEW

We've received some great feedback for our debut release, with support and/or airplay from the following breakers: Ian/Daniella Downs (Dead Famous), Retroid, Aeron Aether, Embliss, Mr No Hands, Adam F (Breakonomics), BreakZhead, DJ Kultur, UnderThis, Flash Brothers, Abdomen Burst, Oleg Zubkov, Mikas, Llupa, Andrew MAze, Ben Coda, Dylan Warren, East Cafe, Proton & Grateful, Jacco@work, Ghettface, DJ Yanix, DJ SLanG, Elfsong, Future Perfect (Band) and James Warren. Here's a selection from what they had to say:

Ian/Daniella Downs (Dead Famous) – “All three mixes are good, but i especially like the emissary one. That is f***ing sick!”
Mr No Hands (Mixmag) – “ veeeery nice!”
Adam F (Breakonomics) – “Brilliant stuff guys. Full support from Breakonomics radio show.”
Embliss – “Congrats on the first release! Massive tracks. Totally digging the Emissary's remix!!”
Aeron Aether – “Nice EP! Will support!”
Flash Brothers – “Nice prog breaks!”
UnderThis (Distinctive) – “Well, we loved all 3 tracks! They all are really beautiful! It`s like a 3 different stories from one writer, or like 3 different brilliant movies from one director. Tracks are really fresh. It's an amazing debut release! Our congrats in advance and full support on this release!”
Chris (Future Perfect)
– “Absolutely loved all 3 mixes! Loads of support for them all. Duane Barry original properly sets up the remixes with a great melody, and chord structure! Phrakture's glitchy, and cut up breaks, layered with the beautiful harmony's creates a unique atmosphere! And Evan as usual, finds a fantastic way to diversify his remix, combining both break, and house with a sick bassline!”
DJ SLanG – “Great start! All tracks in a first release are very well done. Original is sweet, and both remixes are amazing - energetic and melodic - really like them”
East Café – “Nice melodies on the original, I really enjoyed the piano roll and the techy percussive background effects. The Phrakture remix can be remembered as a nice piece of funky breaks for the dancefloor, as it is a bit dirtier than the others. The Emissary remix is a stormer, perfect in every way, this guy is a magician....no doubts, this is best one of the 3 tracks, although all are top notch. Full support of course!”
Ghettface (Ridiculoud) – “Loving the original for that end-of-the night sound, but the Emissary mix’s tougher edge is probably more my style – top package!”
DJ Yanix (Ridiculoud) – “Awesome! Been looking forward to this package for a while now.Loving the Original's atmosphere and melody. Beautiful track that's right up my alley.
Jacco@Work – “Original is a true type DB track. Epic like all your remixes for LuPS.
Nice one. The Emissary Remix is hard to the bone. Growling synthline is ACE.Beats are crispy and crunchy. The part after the break is ACE..Really massive tune with this pianopart. Will play for sure. Also the Phrakture Remix is goosebumping stuff.
This guy is a real prodigy. Love his work and this one is no exception. STRAIGHT ACE this remix.”

We're thrilled to share our debut release with you all and thanks so much for your kind words leading up to this release and for your continued support!
