Broken Robot are back again this month, this time with the debut EP from RMS & Peak with a remix from Broken Robot artist Hedflux

As the dark winter nights draw in, Broken Robot takes a turn for the dark and twisted with the debut EP from RMS & Peak (Broken Roboteer Martyn Harler, and psytrance producer extraordinaire Adam Goodlet). Featuring two delightfully wrong chunks of psychedelic tech-funk in the form of Ten Dimensions and New Realm, topped off with a sublime remix from rising star and Broken Robot golden boy Hedflux, this trio of dancefloor destroyers is a serious force to be reckoned with!

Ten Dimensions is a dark, techy journey through swirling psychedelic space and twisted leads, underpinned by a relentlessly pounding drum beat and throbbing bass, which drive the tune inexorably towards the impending breakdown. At the peak of this crazy crescendo, the tune breaks down and we get a chance to come up for air, but we're not finished yet by any means. An ominous bassline rumbles in the distance, before a huge buildup and a drop which catapults us into a word of nasty, distorted bass which sends the subs into overdrive, rattling rib cages and tearing dancefloors to shreds!

New Realm is a similarly dark and techy monster, not going quite as crazy as Ten Dimensions this is more of a heads-down, driving affair featuring more of RMS & Peak's twisted psychedelic soundscapes and acidic leads. A curve ball is thrown in midway through the track where the kick-snare pattern gives way to full-on driving 4-to-the-floor. Peak's psytrance roots showing through!

Hedflux delivers an altogether more progressive but equally as filthy take on New Realm with his rather excellent remix. For fans of Hedflux's style, this tune sees him really take his sound to a new level (realm?) with some stunning sound design, set to a rolling, overdriven bassline and trademark techy beats. The first drop of the tune is deceptively minimal, but it isn't long before the sounds are building, and building, and building...all the way to dancefloor nirvana!
