So Im rather excited to announce I have a rather splendid 22min MiniMix from the mighty Freefall Collective featuring the vocal talents of MC Manic to air on this weeks Simian Sounds Radio Sessions, thats this friday (5th), 11am til 1pm gmt on NSB Radio.

For those of you that aren't aware of the Freefall Collective I've added some blurb below to entice you and if that aint enough I've had a sneaky preview and it is proper bo i tell thee.



2002 was the year. Bournemouth was the town. A meeting of minds that was Gareth Salmon (cod) and James Pinnock (Bash), conceptually supernova’d the beginnings of Freefall. Their shared love of music birthed a dynamic mix of funk, Hip Hop, and breaks that has grown into a full live 6 piece collective fronted by MC Manic (Aquasky/Sound-trax) and his compadre MC JimC(*u.n.t) with the formidable backing of Simzy (drums) and Geeza (Bass). Ripping the roof off venues on the South-coast and beyond the lads have cemented their statua as the "avin it" band of choice.

Since their tour bus ambulance rear ended the scene in 2003 (they really do tour in a second hand ambulance !) Freefall have been parting the funk traffic jams with their metaphorical musical siren. From raves and free parties to major London Hotspots (Astoria, Fabric) Freefall have proven their finesse in translating studio button pushing to crowd pleasing live sets dripping with funk……And it don’t stop there!! 2005 has seen the lads hit the UK festival scene stronger than ever with their new material shakinb' the dancefloors at Glastonbury, the Glade, Lost Vagueness, Shambala and Electric Picnic ..




After the blazing success in the clubs and on the airwaves of their debut (‘Kermit’s Crafty Coconut’ & ‘Loosen Up’), the FREEFALL COLLECTIVE have delivered up another fresh platter of amazing tunes to show you that it wasn’t just a one-off. This 5 piece, live breaks act have arrived and are ready to take the clubs, radio and festival circuit by storm.
First up is the stunning ‘100% PEOPLE’, a track laced with such club intensity that we at Resin have never dropped it without a rush to the decks of rabid trainspotters. A shuffling, revved up funk beat with a turbocharged kick fuels the floor for takeoff. A sprinkling of dubbed out tweaks and keyboard details prime the floor with a hypnotic intensity. Then the most sublime, jacked-up and attitude-laden b-line that we’ve heard for ages, simply ignites the track and you can just stand back and watch them move. Just when you think you’ve reached the pinnacle, up steps MANIC with driving vocal licks to turn up the party dial before switching back into deep club bliss. Put simply, you have to drop this and watch the reaction, there’s even an instrumental for the headz out there, so no excuses!
‘NOODLEGUN’ does exactly what a perfect B-side should do by adding to your arsenal of versatile and unique tunes for all occasions. Pure party, pure dub, with just enough club savvy to cut it on the bigger floors. A wicked horn riff complements the deep beats and bass, whilst the skank and vocal refrains keep the energy levels firing and the bodies moving. Ridiculously heavy, rootsy breaks, filled with warmth and good vibes.
