ROBBIE RIVERA

Puerto Rican-born Miami resident Robbie Rivera is set to release his new artist album Closer To The Sun, after another action-packed summer of his weekly Juicy parties at Privilege in Ibiza, and a hectic global tour schedule. Featuring collaborations with the likes of Fast Eddie, Laura Vane, Moony (DB Boulevard), it’s progressive house music with a twisted, fucked-up attitude – the Juicy style.
With everyone from Paul Oakenfold to David Guetta clamouring after his roof-raising productions, Robbie has never been more in demand. With another huge Ibiza season under his belt, remix requests flooding in left, right and centre, another hugely successful Juicy compilation and slew of Juicy releases, and gigs at some of the world’s biggest events, 2009 has been one of his biggest years so far – and this hot new album is set to be the icing on the cake.
From the Killers-style uplifting synths of the title track to the cool hip-house vibes of Let Me Sip My Drink and Keep It Going, the big vocal hooks of tracks like The Rain to the instrumental beauty of Departures and the huge riffs of dancefloor killers like 6AM and the hard-hitting I Am A Badass, this album is a non-stop, high-octane journey through Robbie’s eclectic sound – fusing trance with house rhythms, electro synths, progressive melodies and proper songwriting. As is usual with his productions, the album has found support from a huge cross-section of DJs from across the genres - and deservedly so. It’s the sound of one open-minded DJ/producer’s globe-trotting life distilled into 12 tracks of cutting-edge electronic eclecticism.

Bassjackers, a.k.a. Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst, had not foreseen what was coming when they started out with their collaboration. Marlon was already DJ-ing for a while and Ralph experimented a lot with making different kinds of dance music. Marlon was mainly playing house music at the time and then the idea came to push Ralphs productions in that direction, so that Marlon could play the tracks in his sets. The first track they were both satisfied with was ‘Beat Cut'.
‘Beat Cut' got picked up by Fedde le Grand and from then on things went real fast. They recently did remixes for the biggest artists, for example the remix for Dada Life which reached a #1 position in the "Hypem" charts and an official remix for Martin Solveigs monster hit ‘Hello'. They released their tracks on various labels like Spinnin Records, Samsobeats, DimMak, which were supported by the worlds greatest DJs. From Tiesto to Steve Aoki, from David Guetta to Claude Vonstroke, everybody loves the Bassjackers bangers. Also famous rapper/producer Jeremaine Dupri noticed Bassjackers, he decided to rap on top of a Bassjackers beat and put it on his blog.
On the DJ side Bassjackers are rocking as hard as in the studio! Ralph produces the tracks and Marlon takes the stage! Since they started out they already had over 400 gigs in Holland and the past couple of years they are also playing a lot abroad. They had gigs in Turkey, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium and recently they did a tour in Australia. They played for crowds varying from 200 till over 10.000 people, but the impact is always the same.. Bassjackers will blow you away!!

PEACE TREATY

Bringing people together through music. It’s a simple concept yet incredibly powerful when executed correctly and that’s exactly what PeaceTreaty has accomplished with their high-energy electro house productions and live performances. In a world filled with so much pain, struggling and injustice, the dancefloor is one of the few places left where people can truly let go of their worries and PeaceTreaty is providing a soundtrack for just that.

In 2009, Josh Anaya discovered the world of electronic music as it emerged in the United States and loudly rose to prominence. He soon found himself behind the tables at local warehouse parties in his hometown of Chino Hills, CA and decided to start producing in early 2010, which quickly turned into an addictive passion. Later that year, Angelo Patino, a high school friend of Josh, had just completed a chamber choir/guitar program in college when Josh reached out to get some advice on the tracks he was working on. They clicked immediately.

Angelo’s musical background and Josh’s technical knowledge proved to be a recipe for success. The project exploded with their early remixes and bootlegs garnering attention from several high-profile producers, most notably Steve Aoki who signed them to his label, Dim Mak Records, which released their first EP in February 2011. Gaining support from the likes of Wolfgang Gartner, Diplo, Afrojack, Chuckie, Moby and more, PeaceTreaty was officially on the EDM radar. Following up their EP with remixes for Sydney Samson & Steve Aoki, Dada Life and Whiskey Pete, their tracks have become a staple in professional DJ sets across the world. PeaceTreaty has continued its momentum by bringing thousands of fans together at shows all over North America, including headlining a stage at Insomniac’s Nocturnal Wonderland festival and performing at Beyond Wonderland, and abroad in Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico.
