V.I.M.BREAKS proudly announces the launch of a new occasional series! V.I.M.BREAKS SPECIAL EDITION singles will come out on golden cover art, focusing mainly on Proggy-Breaks, Psy-Breaks side of things with really special original artists and remixers of modern Breaks scene!
Back in the 1930s, a young guy named DALLEAN set out to avoid the curse of prohibition and form a Proggy-Breaks Big Band operation in Havanna, Cuba. However, a bus carrying most of the band members on the way to their 1st recording session crashed on a mountain pass and they were all disappeared. New technological advances in the studio meant that a sparse recording could be made, but even more amazing was that once the tapes were processed, mysterious bits and pieces of music and phrases began to appear. In later years Dallean was to travel further a field exploring different musical cultures, always amazing the locals with how he seemed to capture the sound of a full band on his records whilst seemingly alone.….V.I.M.BREAKS gave birth to this long lost tapes accompanied by up-to-date remixes by ALFOA and UNDER THIS. The future is ours!

Thanks for the promo Greg, DALLEAN re-rub was my pick of the bunch! I thought the beat was a bit more refined and i liked the ideas-melodic and deep in parts but also full of energy.

Hi Greg, thanks for the promos. I really like the trancey feel to the original, great atmosphere and driving bass, great change up on the bass too! Re-rub is also good, more chill feel to it, but love the top line synth, think this should be in the original mix too!
Nice atmosphere in the ALFOA remix, much more of a chill feel on this and I love the breakdown! Phat beats in the UNDER THIS remix, like the way they have twisted that bassline.
Nice release, I like the original the best!

Wow, incredible release, I think it was unfair to make us choose a favorite, all the tracks are quality! I think that all the remixes lift the original up a few notches, lovin the re-rub, ALFOA remix is so so deep and UNDER THIS remix is outstanding! Overall a massive release! V.I.M. Is definitely a contender for best label this year!
