After the huge success of B-Phreak’s funky “Firecrack” (heavy rotation by Annie Nightingale, Jay Cunning and many more), it is time for Lucky Break Recordings to approach the darker side of breakbeat: The new
release provides an original track by the label owners Jack Stat, who deliver a heavy bass bomb, namely “Bombaman”. The tune certainly lives up to its name: Sizzling ragga chants, pumping bassdrums, roaring basslines, garnished with a dash of dubstep vibes. The remix for “Bombaman” was produced by the legendary Shut Up And Dance from London. Their “Hallelujay” Remix is a masterpiece: brilliantly arranged breakbeats, a raw and dirty hook and outstanding vocals make their interpretation unique and alluring at the same time.
