Our 25th Release is out today, Just Add Lazers by new signing Dane O.

Dane O is a brand new discovery for Ground Level, bursting onto the scene here with two new original tracks, Just Add Lazors and Earthly Sin. Just Add Lazers builds slowly through arpeggios and bass until the lead line drops in, giving a definite hands in the air moment, Dane then weaves between textures, teasing the dancefloor before repeating the main theme. Fellow Bay Area DJ Toxic Rainbow turns in his remix, adding a more driving beat and clever FX to the proceedings. Si Biddle adds a remix for those of a housier persuasion, moulding the groove into a Jack Beats style groover. On the flip Earthly Sin is a deeper darker electro (read 'proper electro) growler, perfect for those 5am moments on the gnarlier of dancefloors!

Dane Ostrander started producing beats at the age of fourteen, and by sixteen was spinning at raves in his home town - Santa Cruz, California. A breakbeat enthusiast, his sets are filled with breaks re-edits, heavy 808 bass, and the occasional house or dubstep track. With the belief that genre's are limiting, his production pushes boundaries, and attempts to unify the gap between breaks, electro, and dubstep. Now, at age eighteen, he is eagerly entering the industry with his first release 'Just Add Lazors' on Ground Level Recordings. He is also the co-founder of music blog/promotion site stumblejuice.com, and currently lives in San Francisco.
