For Big Square's first release of 2011 we are proud to present an EP from Huddersfield's finest; Digibox. Known to his Mum as Jim, Digibox has already had releases on labels such as V.I.M. & Dirty Drop. Here he showcases two techy floorburners backed up with storming remixes from Lunar Shift & Dirty Tricks.

We kick off with Bass Nation, a heavy head-nodder with a deep progressive feel, full of rumbling bass & chunky drums. This slow burner works just as well in a warm up set as it would in a 5am, heads down all nighter. Phase One ups the energy a tad with crispy hats, a gurgling synth lead & heavy on/off sub-wobble. Rammed full of weighty tech-funk Phase One is a late night dancefloor destroyer.
Making their second appearance on a Big Square Record, Dan Hicks & Ian Radcliffe, aka Lunar Shift flex their remix muscles & turn Bass Nation into a neo rave-breaks spectacular brimming with piano stabs, fuzzy bass & a battytastic vocal sample. Lunar Shift prove once again why their productions are in high demand right now.
Last up we have the Dirty Tricks remix of Phase One. Dirty Tricks is a new project from two long serving producers who hail from North London. Between them they have worked with & remixed such artists as Leftfield, The Dub Pistols, Shut Up & Dance, Peo De Pitte, Deep Dish, Hoxton Whores, Jesper Dahlback & many more. They can now add Digibox to their large body of work. Their music has been rotated by all sorts including Pendulum, Plump Dj`s, Stanton Warriors, Sasha, Phil Hartnoll, James Zabiela, Krafty Kuts, Ed Solo, Freestylers..the list goes on.
