A-DUFF
All species of garnets possess similar physical properties and crystal forms, but differ in chemical composition. A-DUFF is well known as Hydrogrossular, a calcium aluminium garnet series with hydroxide partially replacing silica. He's represented with the formula Ca3Al2(SiO4)3-x(OH)4x and is translucent to opaque while can also be found in green to bluish green, pink, white and gray. His works were found by our technicians in massive crystal habits sometimes grown in with idocrase. The cause of the green color is possibly iron and the cause of pink is by the presence of manganese. His first single “THE GHOST MUSIC” was used as a gemstone, being cabochon cut or made into beads. Sources of this were founded in South Africa, Canada and Australia. His dope Breaktronica remix for RIKKI's “BACK TWANG” single came in white colour and is sourced by our technicians from Burma and China!
